Funding Phase One
BATracer's initial development has been successfully funded by crowd funding from the existing players. This is one of the few successful crowd funding ventures that did not use the major crowd funding sites such as Kickstarter. The reason for this approach was to determine if there was enough of an appetite from the existing pool of players - if the concept could not be sold to BATracer veterans then it would be unlikely to appeal to a wider audience.Not only did we meet our funding target but the players voted over whelmingly in favour of the most feature-rich proposals for the future game.
Funding Phase Two
We retain the option to launch a second phase of funding to complete the project, but also as a means to boost awareness of our work. A second phase would most likely use a commercial crowd funding service to fulfil this aim. In the mean time, you will still be able to donate to the project and take advantage of early-supporter bonuses.
